Road danger awareness

https://www.tes.com/magazine/archive/road-danger-awareness
Country children involved in road accidents are much more likely to be killed or seriously injured than their counterparts in towns.

Rural Road Safety is a resource for key stages 1 and 2 providing effective ideas for dealing with these neglected dangers. It provides a variety of photocopiable worksheets and thought-provoking lesson plans, covering subjects such as the meaning and mathematics of road signs. Roads without pavements, but with hills and horses, are at the centre of attention.

Copies of Rural Road Safety can be downloaded free from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) website. They are also available free from local authority road safety offices or for pound;8.95 direct from RoSPA.
