Remember the days when pupils were sent to the corner? They’re back, and four pupils volunteer to go to the four corners for this vocabularygrammar revision activity.
Each pupil uses an animal sound as a buzzer (infinite variations on the buzzer, but hands up is hard to judge without panoramic vision).
The teacher asks the wordphrasegrammar question, and the first pupil to make their animal sound gets a chance to answer. If answered correctly, they move clockwise to the next corner to eliminate the pupil standing there.
Continue until there is one victor (it’s nice if the victor happens to be called Victor).
This is a whole-class activity because if the pupil who made their animal sound cannot answer within the time you set, say five to seven seconds, any member of the class can raise their hand to answer correctly and take their place.
