ENROLLING the sons of the Prime Minister is clearly not enough. John McIntosh has always thought of the London Oratory as a public school manque and to that end only the children of royalty will do.

That, surely, is the only explanation for the classy pictures in last week’s Hello magazine of Oratory boys crowding round that most royal of royals, the Duchess Fergiana, at the launch of her latest charity wheeze - The Gift that Lasts, which donates part of the profits from toy sales to education in the developing world.

Fergie is wrapped in a tasteful yellow scarf made by her daughters. They won’t be going to the Oratory (boys only - although the sixth form is mixed...), but maybe she’ll put in a word with Eddie and Soph if they ever get round to procreating ...
