Royal heidie put in the shade

A FEW weeks ago we commented on the success of Brian Miller, the Dalziel High heidie, in getting himself mentioned so many times in the programme when the Princess Royal officially opened the school’s new sports fields.

The recent four-page education section of the North Lanarkshire News indicates that Michael O’Neill, the ubiquitous Brian’s director, is not exactly a shrinking violet either. O’Neill features prominently in two photographs and is quoted three times, as well as appearing in a photie on the front page of the main paper.

Oh yes, the Dalziel event is covered, in the shape of a small picture on page four. We think Miller is one of three people being presented to the royal personage, though we can’t be sure because he has his back to the camera.

That’s him telt.
