The inaugural Bell Lawrie White Scottish Schools Under-15 Rugby Cup tournament has been hit by a spate of withdrawals. No fewer than 11 schools - 10 from the state sector - have dropped out since the initial draw. However, the competition is still strong with about 50 teams remaining.

Dollar Academy opened its defence of the Senior Cup with a convincing 41-7 win at Glasgow Academy, after receiving a bye to the third round.
