Scottish Rugby is hosting a Scottish Schools Sevens tournament for the first time as part of its development plan.

The competition - for senior schools teams - will be held on September 28 at Murrayfield with the final to be played on the international pitch. It is open to all affiliated schools and may become an annual event.

The finals of the Bell Lawrie White Scottish Schools Cups will be held at Murrayfield on January 27. Dollar Academy (under-18) and North Berwick High (under-15) will begin the defence of their trophies this term.
