Rules tightened on creationism

Ministers in Westminster have tightened safeguards to prevent free schools from teaching creationism as scientific fact. A new clause has been included in the legal contracts signed by all free schools, stating that they will “make provision for the teaching of evolution as a comprehensive, coherent and extensively evidenced theory”.
