Keith Vaz MP said putting a head in charge of two secondaries was “like Britain lending its Prime Minister to Rwanda for two days a week” (News, October 2). He may not know that Rwanda benefits from the expert guidance of a former British PM, Tony Blair, who serves as an adviser to President Kagame and Rwanda’s government.
This summer, the Conservative Party also worked with Survivors Fund (SURF) on a careers programme for Rwandan students. Participants found the problems young Rwandans have securing jobs are very similar to those of their UK counterparts.
