Sacrificed to make an example

WE were very pleased to see your article on Bilston. It is about time that some of the truth was told about the disgraceful politicking by the Further Education Funding Council and others.

The college geniunely sought to take education in innovative ways into our community. Our feeling is that the college was sacrificed for the sake of a national example.

The new Wolverhampton College is not s community-minded. It omitted to invite Bilston Community Association, which represents a wide range of Bilston community groups, to the recent consultation on its three-year strategic plan. Is the new college afraid of the kind of community education that Bilston once provided?
