An internet “safety” package aimed at teachers and parents in the UK and Ireland aims to replace the blocking of prohibited sites with a surveillance system which monitors the activities of computer users.

Safety-Net tracks where children have been browsing so that parents and teachers can find out for themselves the websites and chatrooms that have been visited. It costs pound;58.75 (inc VAT).
