Sats were sexist

As an 11-year old girl who took her key stage 2 tests in May, I had to respond to Elaine Schack's letter (TES, May 30).

I felt that that the reading test about superheroes was written with only males in mind. My friends did not enjoy the test because we find superheroes dull.

And I found myself running out of time because the three-mark and two-mark questions were quite difficult.

My favourite tests were the long writing test, "The Queue" story and the spelling test. I found the "New Toy" radio advert difficult because I had hardly ever written one before.
