Scale of wasted food in schools revealed

More than 80,000 tonnes of food is being thrown away by schools in England each year, according to a report by environmental charity Wrap. Fruit and vegetables were found to be thrown away most often, accounting for almost half the waste in primary schools and more than a third in secondaries.
