The Battle of Celtic Park last weekend will go down as a further notch in the sectarian history of the British Isles. Another sectarian battle was obviously in the mind of a rabid Celtic supporter when he addressed Catholic secondary heads days before.

Cardinal Tom Winning cracked in his ever cheery manner: "I was over in Ulster in the Boyne Valley on a flut . . . fleeting visit."
