Now students can watch director Matt Wilde and the lead actors as they discuss and try out different ways of playing the scene in which Will and Lyra kiss for the first time. This gives the student choices, which, Pullman says, “makes the viewer an editor”. He thinks it is a brilliant resource but will be even better when teachers copy it and put the director’s methods into practice.
