School extends working day

LANGLEY junior, Plymouth, will be the first school to use new legislation to vary its timetable. The school, which was featured in The TES in September, is to extend its working day in order to allow teachers to have time on Wednesday afternoons to plan and prepare lessons while pupils take part in activities including Spanish, soft metal work and cookery.
