Schools gets access to 1881 Census

An electronic version of the data gathered in the 1881 British Census is now available to schools and local education authorities. Information for particular areas can be extracted and used for a variety of purposes in the classroom. The software and data can be downloaded from and costs about pound;50 following a deal brokered by the School of Education and Professional Development at Leeds University.
