Science CD-i

MIST(Modular Investigations in-to Science and Technology), the primary and secondary science resource, is to be translated on to CD-i from videodisc.

"CD-i systems are cheaper and more flexible," said a spokeswoman from Philips Media, which is making the discs available.

Available on six CD-i discs, MIST is made up of 250 short text chapters, approximately six hours of video and the choice of two soundtracks. Printed teachers' support material is also available.

Any two of the discs, which relate to key stages 1-3 of the national curriculum, cost Pounds 99. For further information contact the Philips School 2000 Hotline on 0171 911 3060.
