Workshops, talks, debates, exhibitions, walks and open days are taking place across Oxfordshire. Special science shows include: Bubble Show, Carleton Community College, May 21; Lab in a Lorry, a mobile physics show in Oxford’s Broad Street, August 13-14; Science Shop, experiments and workshops on slime, microscopes, volcanoes and more at Headington Festival, June 5, and Cowley Road Carnival, June 12; Dr Bunhead’s Recipes for Disaster, Oxford Playhouse, July 16. Other activities include: create your own robot at OVADA, Gloucester Green Oxford, August 20; Curioxity, the hands-on science centre at the Old Fire Station, Oxford; and workshops across the county on the science of chocolate, bugs, bogs, newts, frogs, toads, bats, plants, turtles, moths and more.
