Science is a mystery for most parents

Pupils and parents need to know that young people do not have to be “Einstein” to become a scientist, according to TV scientist Brian Cox. Medicine, science and engineering are careers that parents dream of for their children, but two-thirds fail to encourage them because they lack knowledge of jobs, according to a survey by the Big Bang Science Fair.
