Science - Resource of the week - Punk your science

Punk Science brings live-action science and comedy to the classroom, with videos from TES Resources partner Science Museum Learning.

What is it?

A series of videos showing presenters Dan and Jon explaining key scientific theories to a live audience of pupils. They explore “end-of-the-universe” theories, eco-living, selective breeding and more.

Dan and Jon are pulled apart by bungee cords to represent the “big rip theory”. And they role-play what a melatonin-supplement drug test might look like: Subject A, given the pill, sleeps peacefully, while Subject B, given a placebo, tries desperately to get to sleep.

For a musical start to your lesson try the “nanotechnology song”, a jolly track explaining a complex science topic in an entertaining format.
