SCIENCE Year has been criticised by an influential House of Commons committee for not having a high enough profile. The science and technology committee said it was concerned about public awareness of the project, which has more than pound;4 million already committed. MPs want a thorough analysis of it. Science Year, founded in 2001 and now continuing as Planet Science, aims to boost young people’s involvement in science and gives equipment to schools.
