Key stage 2 soccer fans, particularly those of Manchester United and Liverpool, will love this series of workbooks with their lively mixture of club information and classroom exercises. A broad range of maths and English is competently covered with ood progression.
However, apart from pages that focus on a club theme, such as “The pitch” or “Playing in Europe”, the relationship between the exercises and football tends to be superficial - for example, finding the average of numbers written on a football or choosing nouns written on club scarves to complete sentences.
These are expensive for write-in workbooks, but you get attractive full colour artwork and photographs on high-quality paper.
