Scots and Irish played their part at Waterloo

Harvey McGavin, in his Object Lesson on Wellington Boots (Friday, October 27th), referred to the "English" army which wellington commanded at Waterloo. British troops were in a minorit in the allied army and a large proportion of the UK troops Irish or Scottish. So Wellington's army was far from "English".
