The Scottish Council for Educational Technology's reputation for producing excellent Scottish-based materials has spread rapidly south of the border. Teachers from England and Wales attending this year's BETT show enthused about the new raft of materials. In the SCETNet series, new CD-Roms for 2000, funded by the National Grid for Learning Scotland, include Food Technology, Physics and, comig soon, Geography. Pitched at post-16 studies, SCETNet offers a focused approach to accessing materials from the Internet, with advice on key websites and downloads. It has a common format across curricular areas: The Staff Base has details of Higher Still exam arrangements, lists of sites on the CD-Rom and relevant websites.
