All 130,000 candidates for Standard grade, Higher and Sixth Year Studies examinations should have their results by next Friday (August 6).
The Scottish Qualifications Authority, which has kept to the timetable it set itself, will begin mailing envelopes on Thursday morning, starting with northern destinations. The operation, to be watched by Sam Galbraith, the Education Minister, should be complete by the afternoon.
