The launch of the National Foundation for Youth Music was the perfect excuse to tell bad muso jokes - especially as its first project is called The Pied Piper scheme.

Inspirational role models will encourage children to play a variety of styles, from classical to rock, but don’t they remember what happened in the fairy tale?
