In search of inspiring space

Your recent news item "Play space vital for tots" (TESS, April 29) highlighted the importance of designing high-quality space forchildren that gives them the freedom to play and use their imaginations.

There are too few opportunities to share good ideas and celebrate good practice, which is why the Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland and Children in Scotland have launched an international award for excellence in architecture and design for young children.

If you are aware of an inspirational building or space, inside or outside, for children aged up to 10, visit and draw it to our attention.

Children are spendingmore and more time in organised childcare of some kind, and it is vitalthat we share the very best ideas and encourage innovation.
