Seatbelts could become compulsory on school buses, following a crash in Ireland which killed five teenage girls, a minister has suggested.

Stephen Ladyman, transport minister, said the Government was determined to learn lessons from the accident on Monday in Kentstown, County Meath, and would make seatbelts compulsory if it appeared to be a solution.
