More than 3,000 native British sea and freshwater creatures from shrimps to sharks will live in the new National Sealife Centre at Brindley Place, Birmingham, when it opens in July. The biggest of its 30 tanks will have a corridor through it where visitors will be face-to-face with fish of all sizes. For details, telephone 01202 896289.
