‘Secure’ papers on general sale

I am shocked by how little thought appears to have been put into the key stage 1 trial that our school is taking part in.

Teachers involved in the trial can choose to use either the 2003 or 2004 tests and tasks. Those choosing to use the 2003 ones (myself included) are, however, faced with the tedious and pointless chore of locking away the materials for “security” reasons although the content of the papers is hardly a secret!

On a recent shopping trip I discovered that these very “secure” papers from 2003 can be bought in most bookshops. This will completely invalidate any results from this trial.
