Primaries are failing to protect sensitive information about young children such as their home addresses and medical details, a study for RM School Management has found. It said that more than half of primary schools are not keeping the information secure and staff at more than one third of schools are backing up data by copying it onto computer disks or USB sticks and taking it home at night. Paul Grubb, from RM School Management, said:

“Whilst schools are in a difficult position, they have to manage these risks.”
