Selective stats

For more than a decade league tables have included a list of "top comprehensives' which are almost entirely selective together with many others which operate a high degree of selection.

Surely it is time to redefine this category so the achievements of comprehensives which do not operate selection are properly recognised. Such action can only reinforce the importance of "value-added' which all in education now recognise as a much fairer measure of achievement.
