One in five support staff did not get extra pay when they became higher-level assistants, says an ATL survey. A third of cover supervisors also received no extra. The survey, of 528 staff, also found two-thirds of cover supervisors are asked to go beyond their allotted role of supervising work set by a teacher during short-term absences.
