The Government’s decision to allow faith schools to deliver sex education in line with their religious ethos has been described by campaigners as “disgraceful”. Schools Secretary Ed Balls denied claims that faith schools would be able to opt out of teaching sex education. The amended Children, Schools and Families Bill will require all maintained schools and academies to teach sex education.
