With standards of literacy and spelling so much in the news these days, it is heartening to note that the Scottish Executive is human like the rest of us.
A letter has been sent out to head librarians from the Executive’s finance department drawing their attention to the consultation document on ministers’ spending plans for Scotland. “We would like to point out that there is error in the pie chart under health, therefor the chart that has been copyed and enclosed is correct.” Eh?
Never mind, the Executive is nothing if not contrite. “We appologise for any inconvenus that this may cause,” it states. The Government is to leve no turn unstoned, howev, to ensure everbod get to grip with its spendig plins.
Or as the letter puts it, “the docment has also been published on the Internet.”
