Continuing The Diary’s serialisation of the best homework excuses of all time, this note from a parent, posted on the TES website’s discussion forum, combines brevity and surrealism: “X hasn’t brought his homework as it blew off the clothes line.”
In a similar vein, this one, from a top-set, Year 11 maths pupil, even forced a smile out of the teacher: “Sorry, I accidentally divided by zero and my sheet of paper exploded.”
