The Royal Academy has launched its first online exhibition showcasing the work of A-level students.

The exhibition includes work submitted from 30 secondary schools from the Greater London area. A final 34 works have been chosen from 200 submissions.

Norman Rosenthal, the academy’s exhibitions secretary, said: “This could pass for a very good first-year show in art college.”

Alison Wilding, one of the curators, said: “There was a lot of intense, first-hand experience evident in the work of these young artists.”
