Silly hockey sticks

ST TRINNEAN'S, the model for the hit film series about schoolgirls behaving badly, staged a reunion for its aging ex-pupils last week.

Almost 100 old girls enjoyed the reunion in Edinburgh, even though the school closed down after the war. Many condemned the St Trinian's films and cartoons, which left the school's founding headmistress "broken-hearted" by its fictional portrayal.
