A six-year-old girl has become the youngest student to earn a GSCE in information technology. Geetha Thaninathan from Maidstone scored a grade C - the highest possible at foundation level - after completing the two-year course in just nine months. She spent four hours every Saturday studying at Watford’s Ryde College, a private school that specialises in accelerated learning. She became interested in computers at the age of two while watching her father, an electronics engineer, using one. Geetha said she planned to take a break before tackling an A-level.
