The Scottish Schools’ Ski Association is dreaming of a white January as it stages its first major event of the season on snow at The Lecht on January 26. The Scottish Schools’ Championships are due to go ahead that day but, if conditions are not right, an alternative date has been reserved for February 23.

This year’s ritish Schools’ Championships will be held at the Nevis Range on March 19. The British Prep Schools’ Championships are being staged a fortnight before that on March 5 at Glenshee.

The SSSA will announce its team for the World Schools’ Ski Championships, to be held in France from March 4-10, later this month.
