Slang ‘em off

It may well be true that in order to ingratiate themselves with their pupils (TES, December 12), teachers increasingly accept pupil slang like wicked, innit and whatever, in the classroom. My response is to give them a dose of my own jargon: mitochondria, homeostasis, equilibrium
