‘Slow down’ on reform, says MP

Conservative MP Graham Stuart, chairman of the Commons education select committee called on ministers to “slow down” exam reforms last week, as fears emerged that English Baccalaureate Certificates will not be properly piloted. He warned that a “lack of coherent thinking” and impossible timetables would result in a “mess”. Meanwhile, Ofqual has abandoned a requirement for compulsory piloting of all new national qualifications.
