KUWAIT: A student has been barred from completing his final secondary school exams after he was caught using a James Bond-style miniature camera in his watch to scan questions from his exams and email them to friends. His friends emailed him back with the answers, which he read on his watch. But invigilators became suspicious because he was always consulting his watch, and they caught him red-handed.
The incident is a symptom of the intense pressure placed on students to do well in the results-orientated education system in Kuwait and other Gulf states.
