AM I the only teacher to be enraged by five-term proposals?
The implications of this could be disastrous for teacher recruitment. Teaching is exhausting and many existing battle-weary teachers will find the prospect of eight-week blocks too much. But never mind, I am sure a nice gritty soap glamorising the emotional rollercoaster of teaching (TES, January 15) will soon have graduates banging on the doors.
