I can still remember the joy of listening to Mrs Pashley (Class 6, circa 1962) as she read Bedknob and Broomstick, The Wind in the Willows and many others. The class was mesmerised and I, for one, was inspired to ead these.

Many years later I thoroughly enjoyed reading to my daughter and “doing the voices”, and was much in demand with her friends. Reading aloud can bring such pleasure, both to reader and listener. Give it a try, Ade - or pop round and I’ll read you a story.
