Some like it hot

A colleague of mine at Codsall community high school decided to "celebrate" receiving his threshold back-pay. Treating his wife to a Chinese takeaway, he asked when placing his order for the meals to be hotter than last time, when the food was served luke-warm.

When collecting the meals he was asked if he required the rice to be hot as well. After having replied: "Yes, everything hot", he and hs wife settled down to toast his crossing the threshold. Unfortunately, the meals were prepared "spicy hot" rather than "temperature hot" and both were quickly put into the bin!

Apparently, it's not just when completing your threshold application form that you have to be careful with your language!
