I couldn’t disagree more with the letter, “Ms Anne Thrope wastes space”. I love Anne Thrope. She’s hilarious.

Do we really need all the articles in TESS to be informative and productive? I, like many teachers, work hard and take my job and educational issues very seriously. But we need humour in these days of financial gloom and cuts. Of course I don’t agree with all of her views, but that’s what is so entertaining about her articles.

I look forward to reading Anne Thrope. Please don’t replace her with something more high-brow and intellectual.
