Speed reading techniques

* Power browsing - skim the book or article to find the main ideas and get a sense of the layout.

* Look more carefully at graphs, tables and any other visual aids that may help understanding.

* Filter out any information that you already know

* Use a pointer (a pencil will do) to scan the page from top left to bottom right, and the next page from bottom left to top right, forming a V-shape.

* Don’t vocalise the words you read, as that just slows you down.
