‘Spirit of trust’ for new inspections

Inspectors will visit 240 schools a year, rather than 400 as formerly. One of the first people to experience the new-style collaborative inspections, a West Lothian primary head, described it as “a very enjoyable experience”. Inspection was now based on a “spirit of trust and partnership”, said Education Scotland’s Ken Muir.
