Teams from eight Glasgow schools took part in a gruelling adventure race at Blairvadach outdoor centre in the last week of term.

Starting at the centre, the S3-6 pupils had to canoe across the loch to Clynder and take a cross-country run, climbing to a height of 170m. They then made a Tyrolean traverse across a quarry, before running a further 4.5km, jumping on bikes to cycle 5km, then paddling in kayaks for the final 3km back to the centre.

This year’s winning school was St Andrew’s Secondary, which completed the course in 3 hours 37min 26sec. It was awarded the Blairvadach Trophy, which it gets to keep for display in the school throughout the year.
